Will has asked us not to dv posts because you don't like the message, our because you don't like the poster, but only if the post is out of line. But that's not what's happening. People are using the buttons as a sort of post/poster validation, not as an indication of near violations of TOS.

Because that's what the purpose is, here. Will stated that he and the Chrises don't have time to check out every borderline post, butt also that they will not hands over moderation to a non-employee of SportsWar. The point system is intended to notify Will/Chris of posts/posters that need to disappear, and I suspect that the star system is just a bit of social engineering aimed to get people to use the system.

Now if people would just use the dv button correctly, it would really help Will/Chris out. Until then, I think we're going to see a lot more posts about the star system, which is the non-important half of it.
